Installing the Wood Burner

The Pastor and his children worked hard mixing and pouring a cement pad for our new outdoor wood burner. My husband (the Pastor) has went to great lengths to make our home more efficient.

He is also the most patient man I have ever known.
I love to watch from a distance as he instructs our children
and allows them to learn through experience.
He is a wonderful father and truly loves his family.
Sarah worked along side her daddy most of the time and towards the end of the project had to go inside and clean up. This picture is her after she already had done so and was wearing her p.j.'s.

Proverbs 31 Women

DAY AT THE AUCTION!

Seven women and our thirteen children made our way to the Mt. Hope auction.

We may not have considered a field and bought it, but we sure did our fair share of considering and buying produce. That bidding can be addicting. I felt like I was a stockbroker, waiting for just the right time to buy. Timing was important.

Oh, I can't forget my accidental bid. Without saying any names, (Megan) a dear woman from our church leaned over and asked me a yes or no question. I answered her with a smile and nodded my head up and down and then shifted my head slightly to the right making eye contact with the auctioneer. That's when I became the high bidder on some weird looking cut flowers.

Thank you Tammy and Ellen for driving and using your vehicles.

Visit from the Birds

We had a great time visiting with our friends Dr. Mark Bird, his wife Kristen, and their two daughters. Kristen and I go back some years.

She was a blessing to me as a babe in Christ.

We had a good time reminiscing and catching up. It was such an honor to have them in our home. Pray for this couple as they are educators on the front-line and accomplishing much for the kingdom.

Dr. Bird, I cannot tell you how many times your tough tests have benefited my husband in the ministry. It is true when you are ministering to the world, you do not have multiple choices to choose from when giving them an answer.

Labor Day Weekend

The Pastor and his family made their way to Fairmont, West Virginia and spent two days visiting with the Powell Family. The Powells are also in full-time ministry. Now you can only imagine with two bible loving preachers how deep the conversation went. They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Well, Just view these pictures and I think you'll know what I mean.

Deep...

Still Deep...

Deeper...

We had a great time of fellowship! We spent one day at Valley World of Fun. It was certainly a highlight of our summer. Can't wait to do it again! Thank You Powell Family for Inviting Us!

Are You Sharing Jesus With Others?

Why are you not sharing Jesus with others?
And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, "Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it. For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? Whosoever therefor shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angles.
Mark 8:34-38
I was just thinking of how easily distracted we become. We rub shoulders with unsaved people almost on a daily basis. Do you buy gas? Do you buy groceries? Do you go out to eat or visit the library? I recently asked myself, or maybe it was the Lord asking me, "When was the last time you've shared the plan of Salvation?" I was ashamed of my answer.
Would you be ashamed?
